Python & AWS Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Python & AWS Engineer to join a fully remote, modern engineering team. You will design, develop, and optimise cloud‑native backend services that power business‑critical systems and APIs for an international audience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
• Build and deploy cloud‑based solutions on AWS, leveraging compute, storage, networking and serverless services.
• Document APIs with OpenAPI specifications and enforce strong security practices.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams in an agile, iterative environment.
• Troubleshoot, optimise and enhance existing systems for performance, scalability and security.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and architecture decisions.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience with Python and/or Java.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services and building cloud‑native applications.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OpenAPI specifications and API security.
• Experience delivering scalable backend systems in production.
• Comfort working in remote, multicultural, cross‑functional teams.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and independent work ethic.
