Pump Operator – Shift A (Processing)

About the role

The Pump Operator will work on Shift A in the processing area at Killarney Gardens, ensuring the packaging machine line runs efficiently and safely. This position supports the production plan by operating and maintaining equipment to meet output targets while controlling costs.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, start‑up, change‑over and shut down the packaging machine line.
• Maintain equipment to achieve maximum effectiveness at minimum cost.
• Apply HACCP, health and safety, and product specification standards.
• Execute Clean‑in‑Place (CIP) procedures and routine maintenance.
• Monitor production output and report any deviations.

Required profile

• Matric with Maths and Science, N3 plus, or a National Certificate in Food & Beverage Packaging Operations.
• Team‑leader training and knowledge of goods manufacturing principles.
• Understanding of HACCP, health & safety, and packaging material specifications.
• Familiarity with machine start‑up, change‑over, shutdown, and CIP processes.
