Project Scheduler/Planner – Renewable Energy (Solar)

About the role

The Project Scheduler/Planner will develop, monitor and maintain detailed schedules for utility‑scale solar PV projects, ensuring timelines are realistic and aligned with contractual obligations. Working closely with project managers, engineers, procurement specialists and contractors, the role supports successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop baseline schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Create detailed work packages with defined durations, dependencies and milestones.
• Regularly update schedules to reflect actual progress, scope changes and delivery requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders to keep scheduling information accurate and track milestones against baselines.
• Identify variances, conduct critical‑path analysis and provide early warnings of potential delays.
• Perform scenario and “what‑if” analyses to assess impacts of delays, scope changes and resource constraints.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, forecasts and S‑curves.
• Support claims and contractual processes with accurate schedule documentation.
• Assist with resource planning and ensure compliance with client and industry standards.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience in project planning or scheduling.
• Experience in renewable energy, construction, engineering or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record scheduling utility‑scale solar PV projects over 10 MW.
• Background working in an EPC project delivery environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
