Project Manager – Substation (EPC/PC) & Transformers

About the role

The role leads and manages the full lifecycle delivery of Eskom substation and transformer projects under EPC/PC contracts. You will ensure compliance with Eskom NTCSA standards while meeting schedule, cost, quality and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end project delivery from design through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across substation, PTM&C, civil and telecom disciplines.
• Lead Eskom stakeholder engagement, DRT reviews and approvals.
• Oversee programme, cost, risk management and reporting.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure contractual deliverables are met.
• Ensure timely submission of design documentation, construction drawings and as‑built records.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years experience in transmission and substation projects (132 kV to 400 kV+).
• Proven EPC/PC project delivery experience.
• Strong knowledge of Eskom NTCSA processes and governance.
• ECSA registration as PrEng or PrTech preferred.
