Project Manager / Projek Bestuurder (TC 52)

About the role

The client is a South African construction and project management firm delivering end‑to‑end services across the full build lifecycle. The Project Manager will oversee contract administration, information flow and health & safety compliance for projects in education, commercial, retail and healthcare sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and manage JBCC contracts, ensuring full compliance and understanding of obligations.
• Handle high volumes of incoming requests, distributing accurate information to relevant stakeholders.
• Proactively follow up on outstanding tasks, approvals and deliverables to maintain project momentum.
• Identify challenges early and implement practical solutions to keep projects on track.
• Take control in high‑pressure situations, making informed decisions to minimise risk and disruption.
• Plan, monitor and enforce project timelines, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
• Oversee communication flow between teams, clients and contractors to ensure clarity and alignment.
• Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations, with a strong focus on JBCC‑related requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, BSc or BTech.
• 2–5 years of experience in a similar project management role.
• Proficiency in MS Project and the broader MS Office package.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of JBCC contracts.
