Project Manager – Manufacturing / Custom Machinery

About the role

We are a leading manufacturer of custom‑built machinery seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering projects from customer order through installation, commissioning and final sign‑off. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards while maintaining strong customer communication.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate engineering and manufacturing activities, including machine installations and commissioning.
• Maintain regular communication with customers to provide updates and address issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on all project sites.

Required profile

• N3 Technical Qualification with a Mechanical background (Project Management qualification advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in custom‑built machinery, OEM, engineering, capital equipment or manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience managing or coordinating engineering/manufacturing projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes and machine installations.
• Fluent in English; Afrikaans is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Project.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel.
• Competence in MS Word.
• CAD knowledge (advantageous).
