Project Manager – Legal Services

About the role

Cognia is expanding its Project Management Office and is looking for a proactive Project Manager to drive internal legal and professional services projects. You will work closely with the Delivery team and external clients, helping to design, execute and improve processes while delivering value‑based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end management of legal projects, from set‑up through execution to successful closure.
• Control budgets, create schedules, plan resources and monitor team productivity and quality.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, issues and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce regular project reports, briefings and training materials for internal and client teams.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including direct interaction with international law firms and investment banking clients.
• Capture lessons learned and ensure proper project close‑out activities.
• Support business development by defining project scope, gathering requirements and drafting solution documentation.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Management, Information Systems or LLB.
• 4+ years experience as a business‑facing project manager in legal, financial or professional services.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments.
• Customer‑oriented, self‑starter with a results‑driven mindset.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Interest in process efficiency and leveraging technology.
• Professional demeanor suitable for direct client interaction.
