Project Manager – Kitchen & Interior Projects (Cape Town)

About the role

An established interior design and kitchen company based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced, proactive Project Manager to lead kitchen and interior projects from planning through to final hand‑over. The role involves coordinating teams, contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality standard.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete project lifecycle, developing detailed plans, programmes and schedules.
• Coordinate resources, materials, teams and contractors to keep projects on track.
• Monitor progress, deadlines and milestones, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Oversee project teams, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring workmanship meets required standards.
• Act as the primary client contact, providing regular updates and handling concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation, coordinate deliveries and installations, and ensure health, safety and compliance requirements are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in building, kitchen, interior design or fit‑out environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to sign‑off.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle; a bakkie or commercial vehicle is highly advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management tools.
• Familiarity with relevant software for scheduling and documentation.
