Project Manager – Electrical Engineering Projects

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of electrical engineering projects from initiation through to close‑out. Reporting to the Project Office Manager, the role ensures projects are executed safely, on time, within budget and in compliance with all statutory and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain project documentation, update procedures and ensure ISO compliance.
• Develop detailed project schedules, provide monthly reports and support executive decision‑making.
• Coordinate procurement of long‑lead items, manage budgets, and control overtime and expenses.
• Identify, register and mitigate legal, technical, commercial and schedule risks.
• Lead and engage internal teams, subcontractors and service providers, ensuring clear communication of goals and responsibilities.
• Integrate engineering, production and construction activities through regular coordination meetings.
• Oversee quality assurance, document control and hand‑over processes in partnership with the Quality Manager.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, managing expectations and ensuring delivery aligns with tender specifications.

Required profile

• National Diploma, BTech, BEng or BSc degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Formal Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.
