Project Manager – Construction (CPM)

About the role

Our client, a reputable building and civil contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a new construction project in Cape Town. You will be responsible for delivering the project safely, on time and within budget while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and deliver construction projects safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Develop and monitor project programmes using Microsoft Project.
• Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Manage project costs, budgets, cash flow and commercial performance.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, quality, health & safety and environmental requirements.
• Monitor progress, implement corrective actions and chair project/site meetings.
• Prepare regular project reports for senior management.
• Identify and manage project risks to ensure successful delivery.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional registration with SACPCMP (essential).
• Minimum 10 years’ project management experience in construction.
• Proven track record managing building and/or civil projects from inception to completion.
• Valid driver’s licence.
