Project Manager – Advertising

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager with solid strategic marketing knowledge to lead advertising projects for our clients and support internal agency teams. The role sits within a strategic design and advertising agency based in Pretoria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and plan rollout plans, timelines and milestones based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with traffic, creative, strategy and other departments to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, obtain approvals and ensure timely billing.
• Create briefs for internal production teams and external media partners.
• Present work and feedback to clients and agency teams.
• Maintain weekly project status reports and conduct status meetings.
• Manage artwork approval, proof checking against briefs, handle amendments and secure sign‑off.
• Complete project reconciliations and evaluate final billing.

Required profile

• Matric certificate; preferably a degree in marketing, branding or design.
• 3–5 years of agency experience, preferably in a small‑to‑medium advertising agency.
• Experience in strategy, brand management and both B2B and B2C projects.
• Understanding of digital marketing requirements.
• Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.
• Proficient in English; ability to work one day per week from home after a 3‑month probation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Chase or comparable agency project‑management software.
• Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint / Keynote.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Competitive total‑cost‑to‑company package of R25 000 – R35 000 per month.
