Project Coordinator – Johannesburg

About the role

Manage and support procurement activities within projects, ensuring goods, services, and works are acquired timely, cost‑effectively, and in compliance with regulations. Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and suppliers to keep project execution smooth and aligned with procurement goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and executing procurement plans, identifying project needs and specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, maintaining relationships and managing communications to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, prepare reports on progress, issues, and budget status.
• Track procurement expenditures, help prepare cost estimates, and analyse spending trends for cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Knowledge of procurement processes, contracts, and vendor management is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
