Programme Coordinator – Community Violence Prevention

About the role

NACOSA is a networking organization that works to tackle HIV and its impact on vulnerable people. The Programme Coordinator will support and deliver NACOSA's USAID‑funded Community‑based Violence Prevention and Linkages to Response programme in Johannesburg, focusing on evidence‑based group interventions for adolescent girls and young women and survivors of sexual violence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day performance management, guiding implementation staff to meet weekly recruitment, enrollment and completion targets for GBV prevention group interventions.
• Track staff attendance, leave and ensure accurate monthly timesheet submission.
• Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly planning with facilitators, organising recruitment, group sessions, safe spaces, catering and vehicle utilisation.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures to support smooth implementation of evidence‑based group interventions.
• Design and implement strategies to achieve sub‑district recruitment, demand creation and service uptake targets.
• Ensure continuous quality assessment and improvement of programme delivery.
• Supervise and debrief staff delivering group‑based interventions.
• Create tools for bi‑directional referral pathways linking DREAMS AGYW to health, education and social support services.
• Coordinate with DREAMS partners for co‑location and micro‑planning to ensure successful referrals.
• Work closely with the M&E team to refine monitoring tools and document challenges, best practices and success stories.
