Program Manager – Strategic Delivery (Hybrid, South Africa)

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position is for a Programme Delivery Manager who will lead a portfolio of strategic product and business capability initiatives for a leading South African financial services group. The role operates in a hybrid model from Johannesburg or Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multiple concurrent initiatives across product, technology, operations, legal, compliance and customer service.
• Coordinate across several business units and external partners to ensure alignment and timely execution.
• Develop and maintain delivery roadmaps that translate business strategy into actionable plans.
• Manage governance, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and executive reporting.
• Drive Agile or hybrid delivery practices throughout the programme.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience delivering complex business and technology programmes or projects.
• Proven track record in New Product Development or product implementation programmes.
• Strong programme management and business analysis capabilities.
• Experience working in multi‑stakeholder, enterprise‑wide environments.
• Background in insurance or financial services is highly advantageous.
