About the role
The Professional Nurse, in collaboration with a multi‑professional team, delivers safe, comprehensive, and quality nursing care according to Scope of Practice regulations. They lead and coordinate nursing teams to enable optimal patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi‑professional team.
- Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
- Facilitate a positive client experience by creating a conducive environment.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
- Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
- Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted.
Required profile
- Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse or a 4‑year Nursing Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing.
- No minimum experience required.
Required skills
- Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS).
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
- Develop/modify a nursing care plan.
- Infection prevention and control.
- Nursing processes and procedures.
- Nursing record keeping.
- Patient assessment skills.
- Pharmacology knowledge.
- Relevant nursing legislation.
- Risk identification.
- Scientific nursing principles and process.
