Professional Nurse – Emergency Centre

About the role

Mediclinic is seeking a Professional Nurse to join its Emergency Centre. The role focuses on delivering safe, comprehensive, and high‑quality nursing care in line with the professional Scope of Practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi‑professional team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Support staff competence through a learning environment.
• Ensure accurate charging of all utilised stock and equipment.

Required profile

• Essential education: Degree or Diploma in General Nursing.
• Desired education: Midwifery or postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty.
• Essential experience: None required.
• Desired experience: Up to 1 year of post‑graduate qualification experience in a specialised unit.

• Patient assessment skills.

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
