About the role

The Professional Construction Project Manager Grade A will lead and coordinate construction projects within the human settlements and built environment portfolio, ensuring delivery aligns with approved methodologies and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project implementation plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Manage day‑to‑day operational aspects including scope, time, cost, quality, risk and stakeholder coordination.
• Conduct site inspections, attend technical meetings and ensure compliance with legislation, policies and contract requirements.
• Oversee project financials, budgets, cash‑flow, and ensure compliance with PFMA and treasury guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support audit readiness for project documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in managing construction projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of South African construction regulations, SACPCMP professional requirements and public finance management.
• Ability to produce technical and management reports for senior leadership.
