Production Supervisor – Industrial Manufacturing

About the role

A well‑established industrial manufacturing company supplying high‑quality products to local and international markets is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join its production team. This is a hands‑on leadership position focused on driving productivity, quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules and operational targets.
• Monitor output, downtime, waste, yield and equipment efficiency, applying corrective actions.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives, root‑cause analysis and process optimisation.
• Coach and develop production teams, ensuring high productivity, attendance and skills growth.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, shift handovers and performance discussions.
• Maintain compliance with quality standards, operating procedures and audit documentation.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance and HR to resolve issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Promote a zero‑harm safety culture, conduct risk assessments and support incident investigations.
• Prepare and analyse production reports to improve efficiency and support decision‑making.
• Own production targets while reducing downtime, improving product quality and supporting continuous improvement.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering or a trade such as Fitter.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in food‑grade or regulated manufacturing (advantageous).
• Safety certifications (SHE Representative, First Aid, Fire Fighting) are beneficial.
• Strong understanding of production machinery, manufacturing processes and automation systems.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, GMP, HACCP and compliance requirements (advantageous).
• Computer literacy with ERP systems, production reporting and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities under pressure.
