Production Planner

About the role

You will be the central point for planning production activities, ensuring that customer orders move smoothly from sales to delivery. The role requires a proactive mindset to anticipate bottlenecks and keep all stakeholders aligned.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and monitor customer orders from receipt through to invoicing.
• Release jobs against production schedules and track capacity with line leaders.
• Expedite procurement and production activities to resolve material shortages.
• Maintain standard and non‑standard routings and keep stakeholders informed of progress, delays, and non‑conformances.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and internal teams to optimise workflow and on‑time delivery.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification plus a Diploma or Degree in Operations Management or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pump manufacturing and production planning.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
