Production Manager – Tapestry Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Manager will lead the daily operations of our tapestry and linen manufacturing unit in Brackenfell. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that production plans align with customer demand while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts.
• Monitor workflow to minimise downtime, bottlenecks and waste.
• Coordinate with procurement and stores to guarantee raw material availability.
• Oversee all stages of textile linen processing, including sewing, folding, packing and finishing.
• Maintain machine uptime through close work with maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, quality, occupational health & safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead, motivate and manage supervisors, team leaders and operators, handling staffing, shift schedules and performance reviews.
• Support new product introductions and participate in audits, inspections and management meetings.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Industrial Engineering, Production Management or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in textile or linen manufacturing, with 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of textile production processes and industrial machinery.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, cost reduction and quality excellence.
