Production Manager – Picking Warehouse (East Rand)

About the role

We are looking for a Production Manager to lead the picking warehouse operations in the East Rand area of Johannesburg. You will be responsible for overseeing the end‑to‑end production flow, ensuring efficient shift handovers and meeting daily output targets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to SOPs for picking and reach‑truck operations and ensure proper shift handover procedures.
• Brief production supervisors on daily targets, set hourly goals and monitor KPIs to maximise productivity.
• Manage staffing levels, attendance, PPE compliance and staff training programmes.
• Monitor stock put‑away timelines, coordinate picking, reach‑truck and replenishment activities, and manage pallet selection.
• Ensure a safe working environment and that all machinery is operational throughout the shift.
• Generate daily reports, track late or short picks and communicate production issues to the ADfusion Shift Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing warehouse or production teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of shift planning, KPI monitoring and attendance management.
• Ability to enforce safety standards, PPE usage and proper housekeeping.
• Experience with coordinating picking, reach‑truck and replenishment processes.
• Effective communication skills for briefing staff and reporting to senior management.

Required skills

• Knowledge of warehouse SOPs and reach‑truck operations.
• Ability to use production reporting tools and generate performance reports.
