About the role

Babylonstoren, which grows produce from seed to harvest, is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Production Assistant to join its tunnel team. This is a seasonal role from November 2026 to February 2027, working alongside the tunnel experts to look after the crops day by day.

Key responsibilities

Harvest fresh produce.
Plant, nurture, carry out basic maintenance, train and prune growing crops.
Spray crops carefully.
Operate a tractor across the land.
Maintain the tunnels to the highest standard.

Required profile

Completed National Senior Certificate (Matric / Grade 12).
At least two years of practical experience.
A true team player with a passion for high standards.
Warm and engaging interpersonal skills and good communication skills, fluent in both Afrikaans and English.
Highly structured and well organised.
A deep love for indigenous plants and respect for nature.
