About the role
The Product Specialist – Components will be responsible for expanding Rectron’s client base by promoting and selling the company’s component portfolio. You will work closely with existing customers and the dealer network, ensuring that product solutions meet client requirements and that relationships are built on trust and technical expertise.
Key responsibilities
- Identify sales opportunities within the current dealer base and pursue new leads generated through the CRM system.
- Prepare and present detailed quotes, project breakdowns and technical proposals to customers.
- Provide pre‑sales technical assistance, product education and post‑sales support.
- Maintain accurate vendor reports, stock levels and product listings for online customers.
- Collaborate regularly with the sales and technical teams to coordinate projects and meet sales targets.
- Complete all required product training and stay up‑to‑date on new and upcoming Rectron products.
Required profile
- Minimum Matric qualification; a degree or diploma is an advantage.
- 2‑3 years of experience as a Product Specialist in an IT sales environment.
- Strong sales ability with a willingness to cold‑call and upsell.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple accounts and maintain disciplined follow‑up.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems for lead tracking and customer management.
- Experience using stock management tools and generating vendor reports.
