Product Marketer – Digital Journey & Lifecycle Specialist

About the role

Sanlam is seeking a Product Marketer to join the Sanlam app product team. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will shape and execute always‑on, trigger‑based customer journeys across app‑adjacent channels such as email, SMS and WhatsApp, helping customers derive more value from the unified Sanlam experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design, orchestration and optimisation of digital journeys that drive onboarding, activation, product usage, retention and cross‑product engagement.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Data Science, business owners and CRM partners to translate customer behaviour insights into actionable journey strategies.
• Develop clear execution briefs that balance conversion goals, channel constraints and the overall app experience, avoiding fatigue.
• Monitor performance metrics, iterate on journeys based on data triggers and business objectives.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and digital product experiences.
• Ability to analyse behavioural data and translate insights into journey designs.
• Excellent communication skills to work cross‑functionally and convey strategy to execution teams.

Required skills

• Experience with email, SMS and WhatsApp channel orchestration.
• Familiarity with data‑driven journey optimisation and trigger‑based marketing.
