Product Manager – eCommerce (Cape Town, Onsite)

About the role

DataFin IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead a portfolio of eCommerce product capabilities for a reputable retail group in Cape Town. You will own the product vision, shape quarterly road‑maps and ensure delivery teams solve the right problems at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own product strategy and roadmap for eCommerce capabilities.
• Lead discovery, problem definition and solution design.
• Oversee programme delivery, PI governance and continuous improvement.
• Measure commercial performance and drive data‑based decisions.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across a matrix organisation.
• Develop and mentor product owners and cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure platform integrity and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
• Strong management, leadership and people skills.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience in business/value‑case development and investment governance.
• Visionary thinker, resilient and comfortable with rapid change.
• Advantageous: MBA or postgraduate business qualification, SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner (PMPO) certification.
