Product Designer (UX/UI) – AI E‑commerce Platform

About the role

We are looking for a thoughtful, curious Product Designer (UX/UI) to join our early‑stage AI‑driven e‑commerce platform in Cape Town. Working closely with the founding team, engineers and customers, you will shape experiences that delight both merchants and shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end user experiences from concept through production.
• Create wireframes, interactive prototypes and high‑fidelity UI mock‑ups in Figma.
• Collaborate daily with engineering to ship high‑quality features.
• Engage with customers to understand problems, test solutions and iterate quickly.
• Develop and maintain a design system as the product evolves.
• Produce demos, marketing assets and sales collateral when needed.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of product design experience, preferably in SaaS or startup environments.
• Strong portfolio showcasing thoughtful UX and polished UI.
• Ability to work autonomously, shape product direction and own the design process.
