Product & Business Development Strategist

About the role

An established online retail business specialising in jewellery, handbags and custom gifting products is entering a growth phase. The company is expanding its B2C e‑commerce platform while launching a B2B retail distribution strategy. This succession‑level position offers direct exposure to ownership responsibilities and the chance to influence long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product development aligned with market demand, identifying gaps and new opportunities across jewellery, handbags and custom gifts.
• Own and improve the existing B2C e‑commerce platform, enhancing digital marketing, conversion rates, customer journey and average order value.
• Develop and execute a B2B go‑to‑market strategy, onboarding retail partners, chain stores and boutique stockists.
• Negotiate pricing, trade terms and exclusivity agreements while working closely with leadership on margins and profitability.
• Drive initiatives from strategy through execution, coordinating with suppliers, logistics and internal teams.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales or product management.
• Proven B2B sales or trade/retail account management experience.
• Experience with pricing, margins and financial reporting.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Commerce or a related field.
