Procurement Manager – Strategic Sourcing & Inventory Management

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead strategic sourcing and inventory management activities to ensure the organisation receives the best value in cost, quality, compliance and service delivery. This role works closely with quality, regulatory and production teams to maintain a reliable supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers locally and internationally, ensuring alignment with cost, quality and lead‑time targets.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies that drive cost savings, supply continuity and operational efficiency.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, delivery schedules and service agreements with suppliers.
• Monitor supply risks, manage approved‑supplier additions and communicate changes to Quality and Regulatory.
• Forecast raw material, packaging and stock requirements, adjust procurement plans and minimise excess inventory.
• Maintain accurate ERP records for material movements, stock transfers, adjustments and expired items.
• Provide regular updates on deliverable progress, lead‑times and critical path items to relevant departments.
• Support production scheduling by communicating required quantities and timelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation and inventory management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Bill of Materials processes.
• Ability to assess supply risks and ensure continuity of critical materials.
• Strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration with Quality, Regulatory and Production teams.
