Procurement Controller – Stellenbosch/Cape Town

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Procurement Controller to lead end‑to‑end purchasing activities for a fast‑growing logistics company. The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier management and import coordination to ensure seamless operations across local and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and issue accurate purchase orders, update BOM pricing and track project costs.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with local and global suppliers to obtain optimal pricing, service levels and lead times.
• Oversee international procurement, liaise with freight forwarders and customs agents, and manage import documentation.
• Analyse market trends, identify cost‑saving opportunities and support annual procurement forecasting.
• Collaborate closely with Warehouse Controller, Finance and Operations teams to prevent stockouts and resolve invoice queries.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) required; a Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Logistics is advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Strong negotiation abilities, attention to detail and the capacity to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Experience with inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with import processes and documentation.
