Process Engineer – Remote (Cape Town)

About the role

Our client, a solution‑oriented engineering firm specializing in membrane filtration systems, is seeking a Process Engineer to work 100% from home in Cape Town. You will drive advanced engineering projects, support process design, costing and project management, and act as a key liaison for clients and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage engineering projects, including process design and cost estimation.
• Execute project management tasks, site works and SHEQ responsibilities.
• Run laboratory and pilot‑plant operations for R&D, preparing test runs, capturing data and producing reports.
• Prepare quotations, manage tenders and provide sales support.
• Conduct client and supplier liaison, including site visits.
• Mentor and oversee junior process engineers.
• Perform engineering administration and support marketing activities.

Required profile

• Several years of process engineering experience with the ability to work independently.
• Proven capability to mentor junior staff.
• Self‑motivated, highly organised and comfortable in a fully remote environment.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
