Private Wealth Advisor

About the role

As a member of FNB's Private Banking and Advisory Team, you will deliver exceptional experience and education to private wealth clients, guiding them through wealth creation, accumulation and protection strategies. The role focuses on driving client retention, increasing the vertical sales index and supporting the bank's growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve revenue and profit targets by growing a portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients and providing independent, holistic advice.
• Identify and act on revenue‑generating opportunities, including local and offshore fiduciary solutions and client philanthropy.
• Provide appropriate banking and financial solutions across an allocated client portfolio while ensuring compliance with legislative and audit requirements.
• Build and nurture collaborative relationships across FNB and the broader First Rand Group to enhance service delivery and innovation.
• Conduct regular client reviews, market the full range of financial services, and participate in personal development activities.
• Deliver excellent customer experience aligned with organisational values and identify process improvements to reduce costs.

Required profile

• NQF7 Level degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
• Completed RE5 qualification; CFP certification is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in banking, investment, financial planning or wealth‑management client‑facing roles.
• Full understanding of money‑management principles.

• Sound knowledge of business‑related systems used in wealth management.
• Understanding of banking and financial‑services regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of wealth‑creation, accumulation and protection concepts.
• Strong grasp of global financial markets and current affairs.
• Ability to match client needs with appropriate product solutions.
• Project‑management capability and a proven track record in servicing and acquiring client portfolios.
