Principal SAP Change Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Change Manager (Principal) to support a major SAP transformation initiative within a leading public sector environment in Cape Town. This role is ideal for a highly skilled Change Management professional with extensive experience delivering change interventions for SAP implementations and business transformation programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement end‑to‑end Change Management strategies to support SAP solution delivery and business transformation initiatives.
• Conduct stakeholder impact assessments and change readiness activities.
• Design, manage and execute communication plans, stakeholder engagement strategies and rollout communications.
• Produce training materials, user guides, FAQs, demonstrations and adoption support resources.
• Prepare Change Impact Assessments detailing impacts on business processes, teams and end users.
• Facilitate workshops, awareness sessions and change interventions across business units.
• Collect, analyse and report on user feedback to identify improvement opportunities and adoption challenges.
• Collaborate closely with project teams, business stakeholders and executive sponsors to ensure successful implementation and adoption of SAP solutions.

Required profile

• Recognised Change Management accreditation or qualification (proof required).
• Minimum 8 years’ Change Management experience, including at least 8 years in SAP Change Management.
• Demonstrated experience delivering Change Management services as part of SAP implementations or rollouts.
• Experience producing formal Change Management documentation and project deliverables.
• Core competencies in Change Management, Transformation Management, Organisational Design & Development, Communication Management, Leadership Development and Training Management.
