Practice Automation Specialist and Consultant

About the role

The practice is looking for a specialist who can design and implement automation solutions that boost efficiency across its accounting services. You will work closely with accountants to identify repetitive tasks and replace them with streamlined, technology‑driven workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current accounting processes to pinpoint automation opportunities.
• Design, develop and deploy automation scripts and tools such as Excel Macros, Power Query, Google Apps Script, Power Automate, Zapier or Make.
• Integrate APIs and AI‑enabled solutions to create end‑to‑end workflow improvements.
• Document automated solutions and provide training to staff for sustainable adoption.
• Monitor performance of automated processes and continuously refine them.

Required profile

• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (post‑articles profile).
• 1–3 years of experience in an accounting practice, preferably within a small‑to‑medium firm.
• Proven track record of independently delivering automation projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
