Portfolio Manager

About the role

An established insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to oversee and grow an existing portfolio of insurance clients, while identifying new business opportunities. The role demands strong commercial acumen, deep insurance knowledge and the ability to engage senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and expand a portfolio of insurance clients, maintaining strong relationships with brokers and internal teams.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities, support renewal processes and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Achieve annual new‑business and revenue targets by sourcing prospective clients and developing tailored insurance solutions.
• Collaborate with underwriting, finance, actuarial and claims functions to design and launch new products.
• Compile and monitor portfolio budgets, forecasts and performance metrics, reporting variances and progress regularly.

Required profile

• B.Com degree or equivalent; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; project‑management qualification or experience is advantageous.
• 4–6 years of insurance industry experience, including UMA experience; proven portfolio and client‑relationship management skills; ability to interpret financial and actuarial data.
