Plumber – Facilities Management (Johannesburg)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Plumber to join our Facilities Management team at a client site in Rosebank, Johannesburg. The role involves maintaining, repairing and installing plumbing systems to ensure uninterrupted operation of the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain pipes, fixtures and fittings for water, drainage, heating and related systems.
• Diagnose and resolve leaks, blockages, system failures and other plumbing emergencies, including after‑hours incidents.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of pumps, water heaters, toilets and other plumbing equipment.
• Document all work performed and coordinate maintenance schedules with the broader facilities team to minimise disruption.

Required profile

• Formal certification or diploma in plumbing and a valid local plumbing licence.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on plumbing experience, preferably in commercial or large‑scale facilities.
• Proven ability to respond quickly to emergency situations and to work under pressure.
• Good knowledge of South African plumbing codes and safety regulations.

Required skills

• Use of hand and power tools such as pipe wrenches, pipe cutters and soldering equipment.
• Maintenance of plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, gas, pumps and water heaters.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for plumbing issues.
