About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Play Therapist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate should be registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is passionate about supporting children’s emotional and psychological well‑being through therapeutic play.

Key responsibilities

Provide therapeutic play‑based interventions for children.
Assess and support children dealing with emotional, behavioural, or developmental challenges.
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to HPCSA ethical guidelines.
Contribute to Mediwell’s commitment to offering inclusive, high‑quality healthcare.

Required profile

Recognised qualification in Play Therapy or a related field.
Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
