Platform Engineer – Kubernetes & Azure DevOps

About the role

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to own and evolve our production Kubernetes platform. You will ensure reliability, scalability and a great developer experience while building Azure DevOps pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code across all environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and upgrade Kubernetes clusters (quotas, RBAC, namespaces) and manage autoscaling, node pools and capacity planning.
• Manage multi‑cluster access and visibility through Rancher and maintain Helm charts with proper versioning and environment configuration.
• Define and track SLOs/SLIs, lead on‑call rotations, incident response and post‑mortems, and eliminate single points of failure.
• Maintain the observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki), optimise alerting and ensure distributed tracing for critical services.
• Design, implement and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines with security gates, supporting development teams while preserving platform stability.
• Implement infrastructure as code on Azure using Terraform, enforce DRY principles and prevent configuration drift.
• Right‑size workloads, monitor spend and report on cost‑efficiency opportunities.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform or SRE roles.
• Production‑grade Kubernetes expertise.
• Strong Terraform experience on Azure, including remote state and module management.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting/system language such as Go, Python or Bash.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, DNS, TLS, Ingress controllers, basic service‑mesh concepts).
• Fluent Linux administration skills.
