Plant Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Plant Operator to run electronic testing equipment that validates electronic initiation system e‑boards after moulding. The role is based at our Johannesburg facility and supports safe, efficient production of blasting solutions for the mining industry.

Key responsibilities

• Operate electronic testing equipment to perform functional tests on e‑boards.
• Identify and isolate faulty e‑boards during testing.
• Maintain accurate production logs, recording pass/fail status for each board.
• Package and handle e‑boards following defined procedures and ESD precautions.
• Label and document packaged units to ensure traceability.
• Conduct detailed visual inspections to verify product quality and compliance with standards.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed testing and packaging procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for visual inspections and record keeping.
• Understanding of electro‑static discharge (ESD) safety practices.
