Picker/Checker Team Leader

About the role

Orbia Advance Corporation is hiring a Picker/Checker Team Leader within its Supply Chain department, based in Kraaifontein, Cape Town. The role covers accurate picking, checking and packing of orders, off-loading and loading, and supporting warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately pick, check and pack orders, and off-load and load containers and trucks
• Assist checking incoming stock and pack it in the right places using a scanner
• Keep the warehouse tidy and help write waybills when needed
• Assist with cycle counts and stock takes, and help customers with collections
• Hand over parcels after hours for collection, with security
• Follow HSE, proactive reporting and LEAN awareness
• Assist with assembling valves, micro's and filter banks

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: Grade 12
• Neat and clear writing, excellent written and spoken Afrikaans and English, and good numeracy
• Good computer literacy for administrative work
• Willingness to prepare for labour-intensive work and to work overtime when required
• Self-starter who can work independently
• 3+ years of receiving and dispatching or warehouse experience
• Forklift licence; driver's licence and own reliable transport are advantageous

Required skills

• Forklift operation
• Preferrably 3+ years of digital picking, checking and packaging experience with bin locations
• Tertiary qualification is an advantage

• Working hours Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00 and Friday 08:00-16:00
