Physiotherapist

About the role

The Life Nkanyisa Kirkwood Care Centre is seeking a qualified Physiotherapist to join its multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Hospital Manager, you will deliver high‑quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to adult patients, including those with neurological conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment programmes.
• Provide hands‑on physiotherapy interventions and prescribe assistive devices as needed.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, therapists and families in MDT and case‑conference meetings.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and documentation.
• Participate in continuous professional development and unit training activities.
• Build and sustain relationships with referral sources and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Physiotherapy.
• Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• At least one year of post‑community‑service experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care and quality standards.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and treatment planning.

• Documentation and record‑keeping.
