Photographer and Videographer

About the role

Icebolethu Group, a funeral assurance group and authorised financial service provider, is looking for a permanent Photographer and Videographer for its Marketing & Communications department. The role is based at the head office and is field-based, producing high-quality visual content that fits the Icebolethu brand and handles both corporate events and the sensitive funeral services industry. The position requires a valid driver's licence for travel between branches and operational events.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end photography and videography for marketing campaigns, social media and internal communications.
• Document corporate events, gala dinners, community outreach programmes and client services with professionalism and respect.
• Edit photos with colour grading and retouching, and edit video with cutting, sound design, audio leveling and motion graphics.
• Maintain, clean and manage in-house camera gear, lighting kits and audio equipment.
• Brainstorm visual content for new product launches, burial schemes and catering services with the marketing team.
• Curate and maintain a digital asset library for the whole group.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in film, media studies, photography or a related creative arts field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar dual photography and videography role.
• Portfolio showing corporate video production and event photography.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Emotional intelligence and etiquette in sensitive environments, teamwork and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom and Photoshop.
• Professional lighting, framing and audio capture indoors and outdoors.
• Basic 2D motion graphics, text animations and lower-thirds.
• Knowledge of social media video trends such as Reels and TikTok styles.
