About the role

Mediclinic seeks a qualified pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services to in‑hospital patients and the public, ensuring compliance with legislation, SAPC regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

Ensure availability of medicines and scheduled substances for stores and the public.
Accurately dispense prescribed medications.
Maintain efficient stock holding of medicines and scheduled substances.
Deliver a safe and efficient medication service.
Provide an outpatient pharmacy service.

Required profile

Essential education: B Pharm, B Sc Pharm or Dip Pharm.
Desired experience: 1–3 years in a hospital pharmacy, including stock management and distribution.

Required skills

Knowledge of pharmacy legislation (Pharmacy Act, Good Pharmacy Practices, Medicine Control Act 101 of 1965).
Familiarity with pharmacy systems such as UNISOLV, AS400 and SAP.
Understanding of clinical pharmacy, antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacology.
Ethical stock control practices and financial management.
