Pharmacist – Contract Logistics

About the role

The Pharmacist – Contract Logistics will lead quality assurance activities within DSV's logistics operations, ensuring compliance with South African pharmacy regulations and international quality standards. This full‑time position is based at the Kempton Park facility and reports to the Quality Management team.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GDP and GPP standards.
• Ensure compliance with the Pharmacy Act, Medicines and Related Substances Act, SAHPRA and SAPC guidelines.
• Oversee repackaging, destruction, and stock disposition of medicines in line with client and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including CAPA processes and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate product flow records and support pharmacovigilance activities.
• Manage the medical device license for the Raceway facility and uphold GxP principles.

Required profile

• BPharm degree and registration with the South African Pharmacy Council.
• Minimum 2 years experience in pharmacy warehousing, distribution or production.
• Proven experience with Quality Management Systems and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
• Understanding of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP).
• Familiarity with SAHPRA and SAPC guidelines.
