Pharmacist Assistant – Retail Pharmacy (Full‑time)

About the role

The Pharmacist Assistant will provide pharmaceutical care within the scope of practice and manage day‑to‑day dispensary administration in accordance with Clicks' Standard Operating Plans. The role supports high‑quality customer service and ensures accurate medication handling.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of customer service and care.
• Control stock efficiently, including repacking of medicines.
• Administer dispensary operations accurately.
• Perform precise compounding of prescriptions.
• Provide general health advice to customers.
• Uphold housekeeping standards and attractive merchandise display.
• Handle ad‑hoc operational requirements as needed.

Required profile

• Matric with Mathematics (essential).
• Meet Health Professions Council of South Africa requirements for Pharmacist Assistant (qualified, post‑basic or learner basic).
• Demonstrated adherence to principles, values and ethical working practices.
• Strong planning, organising and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Product knowledge of health‑aisle and OTC items.
• Familiarity with SAPC and relevant legal regulations.
• Basic calculation proficiency.
• Competence with MS Office applications.
