Pharmacist Assistant (QPB) – Retail Pharmacy

About the role
The Pharmacist Assistant (QPB) provides pharmaceutical care services and supports day‑to‑day dispensary administration in a retail pharmacy environment. The role focuses on script administration, patient interaction and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while adhering to company SOPs.
Key responsibilities
- Interact with customers professionally, maintaining confidentiality and meeting agreed timelines.
- Administer scripts and manage related claiming/capturing procedures.
- Accurately handle all patient profiles and manage queries related to prescriptions.
- Communicate with healthcare professionals as required.
- Assist with chronic authorisations and liaise with other departments.
- Perform ad‑hoc tasks to support operational needs.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Pharmacist Assistant.
- Post‑basic education: Certificate in Pharmacist Assistance (essential).
- Strong product knowledge, including OTC items.
- Understanding of SAPC, legal regulations and chronic authorisation processes.
- Customer‑service orientation, ethical work practice and compliance.
- Bilingual ability with English as a required language.
Required skills
- MS Office proficiency.
- SAPC system knowledge.
