Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic)

About the role

Shoprite is looking for a dedicated Pharmacist Assistant (Post‑Basic) to join its pharmacy team in Lenasia, Gauteng. This full‑time position supports the pharmacist in delivering accurate medication dispensing, managing inventory and providing front‑shop customer service within a busy retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with accurate dispensing of prescription medicines.
• Maintain stock levels, perform inventory checks and manage medication labeling.
• Handle pharmacy administration tasks such as record keeping and compliance documentation.
• Provide courteous service to customers at the front shop, answering queries and processing sales.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and pharmacy regulatory standards.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Pharmacist Assistance (Post‑Basic).
• Valid registration with the South African Pharmacy Council.
• Minimum one year of practical pharmacy experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
