Payroll Administrator – Sandton

About the role

We are a growing accounting firm seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to handle payroll for a diverse portfolio of clients in Sandton. The role requires accurate, timely processing of payroll and strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll for multiple clients accurately and on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA, EMP501 and other statutory submissions.
• Maintain payroll records, process employee changes, deductions and adjustments.
• Prepare payslips, payroll reports and related documentation.
• Respond to payroll queries and provide ongoing client support.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to guarantee accurate payroll reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee information and stay updated on payroll legislation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of payroll administration experience, preferably in an accounting practice or payroll bureau.
• Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation and statutory submissions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple payrolls within deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and client communication.
• Ability to handle confidential information and prioritize multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with payroll software systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from R25,000 to R35,000 per month.
