Payroll Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Payroll Administrator to join the Finance team of Stallion Security. The role is responsible for processing weekly and monthly payroll for security personnel, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Process weekly and monthly payroll, including salaries, overtime, allowances and deductions.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records for appointments, transfers, promotions, leaves and terminations.
• Validate payroll inputs, reconcile data and investigate any discrepancies before payment.
• Prepare and submit statutory returns (EMP201/EMP501, UIF, COIDA) and administer third‑party payments such as medical aid and provident fund.
• Generate payroll reports, registers and ad‑hoc management information.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, participate in audits and assist with special payroll projects.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification and a recognized Payroll Certificate.
• 2–3 years of payroll administration experience, preferably in the security sector.
• Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE Act, Income Tax Act, UIF, COIDA, POPIA).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sage 300 payroll system.
• Experience using Easy Roster for workforce scheduling.
