Pattern Maker

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Pattern Maker to join the Product Development team. You will create, develop, grade and maintain production patterns that meet customer specifications, quality standards and production requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with merchandisers, designers and suppliers to understand new garment concepts and fit requirements.
• Create patterns from design sketches using Lectra and/or Gerber software, either by modifying existing blocks or developing new ones.
• Develop master production patterns and basic blocks for various fabrics and silhouettes.
• Assess fabric reaction and select appropriate construction methods.
• Conduct garment fitting sessions, evaluate sample garments and recommend pattern or construction improvements.
• Grade patterns across all required size ranges and prepare cutsheets for production.
• Maintain a digital library of approved patterns on SharePoint and ensure accurate documentation of revisions.
• Collaborate closely with CMT factories, production, and suppliers throughout the development process.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a pattern maker in apparel or garment manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify pattern accuracy.
• Willingness to work overtime when business needs require.
