Pattern Maker (Clothing) – 4+ Years Experience with Lectra

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pattern Maker specialized in clothing manufacturing to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will create accurate production patterns using Lectra CAD, ensuring garments meet design, fit, quality and cost requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop precise production patterns from design concepts and technical specifications.
• Ensure patterns comply with customer requirements, fit standards, manufacturing capabilities, quality standards and cost objectives.
• Collaborate closely with Designers, Sample Machinists, Graders, Marker Makers, Production and Quality Assurance throughout the product development cycle.
• Handle multi‑size garment development for both woven and knit fabrics.
• Support efficient production processes by providing clear and production‑ready patterns.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a clothing pattern maker.
• Proficient in using Lectra CAD pattern systems.
• National Diploma in Clothing Management, Fashion Design, Clothing Technology or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction and ability to work with woven and knit fabrics.
• Proven track record of successful employment in the apparel industry.
